Equal, Inc. is an organization that encourages parents, grandparents, step-parents, and the community to get involved and change the lives of children and their families forever. We offer support and outreach to individuals who are currently faced with or affected by the challenges of custody battles.

Our goal is to change the family courts’ attitude of "winner takes all" leaving the non-custodial parent with minimal visitation and a high price to pay in child support. We strongly believe that children need both parents to participate equally in the responsibility of raising their children together. We want to help change family law in Virginia and all over the United States, with the help of the American Coalition for Fathers and Children our National Affiliate, to give both parents equal rights and responsibilities for their children. We believe that child support orders should be realistic, and reflect the basic needs of the child. Children need both parents involved in their lives, not a custodial parent and a non-custodial parent. We believe that joint physical custody should be the default of all broken relationship or divorced families for the sake of the children. With your help we can change laws so loving parents and children do not have to endure the pain and devastating court battles that many before have had to endure.
